This was our day to do NOTHING special and everything normal, and take absolutely no photos! Mark and I went for a walk in the park near the apartment complex in the morning. Andrea did tons of laundry, and since they have no dryer, we have two drying racks out, one on the balcony and one in the living room, and trade out clothes as soon as they are nearly dry to get it all done. She is a laundry fiend. It took all my willpower to prevent her from ironing my t-shirts! That said, we all took naps, and Mark, who is coming down with a cold, took two. Mark and I went to a big thrift store called Stilbruch for a little outing, but did not see anything remotely interesting; I had been there two years ago when it was a messy, rambling place, and it has gotten very blah and tidy since then. People’s discarded dishware is just as boring here as it is in the US. Right after we got home (and Andrea and Peter got back from a grocery run), it began to storm and we had a good old downpour. I loved the sound of the rain and thunder, but we were sure glad we were not out in it. Andrea cooked us a lovely meal (all I was allowed to do was the dishes!) and we wrapped up some of our computer work, chatted with the kids on Facebook and went to bed early.
